True happiness, does it come at a cost and what is that cost.  Bella had been married for thirty years to the same man, whom she loved and had two children by, but never really knew him.

Six months after hiring Barbara to work in his jewelry store, he served Bella with divorce papers and left her for the recently hired employee which he later married.  However, almost a year to the date of the final divorce, he was found dead in his bedroom with just his skivvies on.

The murder put Bella in a perilous predicament, since he was shot with a gun that was registered to her.  Over the past year since the divorce and Robert’s remarriage to Barbara, she had done nothing but rant and rave about the “lying, cheating, womanizing dirt bag of a husband,” and that Barbie bitch he married, to anyone who would listen.

For this reason, she became the initial ‘person of interest’ in the death of her husband and finally the one and only suspect to the crime.  She was immediately arrested after the two, three carat diamonds that were stolen during the homicide of her ex-husband were discovered in her purse while she was being interrogated at the police station.  Was she being set-up?

This story rushes forward with sarcastic, sometimes mordant humor as she is released on bail, thanks to her step-father, and begins the search for the real murder in order to clear her name.  She also found out along the way, just who her husband really was when it came to his womanizing.

I laughed, empathized and cheered for Bella during her journey to prove her innocence in this well written story of determination, family, awakening and love with a surprising little twist at the end.  In times of crisis it is always nice to have family love and support, something to think about as you celebrate the holidays with friends and family.
